The curriculum at WVDAS is based on a very successful education system used in many operating dental assisting schools across the country. Our curriculum differs from other training systems in that you will be taught in both a classroom and an actual operating dental office by experienced dental professionals.
The WVDAS program is labor-intensive and rigorous. Essential attributes of successful applicants (and graduates) include a serious commitment to completing the course, regular attendance, and putting in the hours necessary to keep up with the sequence of classes each week and to seek job opportunities by initiating contact of dental offices.
Application to WVDAS is no guarantee of acceptance, and each potential student will be interviewed to assess the specific degree of commitment to completing the course and the personality characteristics needed to succeed to form and maintain a trusting relationship with patients, dentists, and office staff.
Dental Assisting is a profession held to the highest standards of professional commitment and conduct. Keep in mind that you will be working with patients who deserve the very best treatment, both professionally and personally.
